Palermo, Sicily

Today we walked around Palermo where we saw cathedrals, markets, fountains, gardens, piazzas and architecture. And of course more good food.

Miles walked today: 10.8

  1. Hey guys! Just wanted to say hi and fill you in on a little here. Love the pictures by the way! You guys must be having a blast!!! Weather is pretty cold (30’s), Hurricane Sandy is beating down the east coast and people are selling pictures with the Statue of Liberty being pummeled by massive waves. Funny thing is those pictures are from the movie The Perfect Storm (so fakes lol). That reminds me- I need to book my trip to Colorado for December to avoid being drowned by the massive tidalwave! 🙂 The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Show with David Letterman both filmed with empty studios (no audience) due to the crazy storm! It was pretty painful to watch the Top 10 without anyone laughing haha! We had a team building event playing paintball yesterday outside. Rob and Allen Woodrum both have welts on their heads from the experience. Jenn was hiding the entire time and barely shot off 10 rounds (kidding). Tigers got knocked out of the World Series (swept 4-0). Red Wings still aren’t playing due to the lockout, and the winter classic in Michigan Stadium just got cancelled. Not that you care but the Packers are 5-3 and making a comeback in the division haha! I whooped on my brother in fantasy football this week and beat him by 50 points, so i’m pretty pumped about that. Don’t get the Pizza Marinara in Italy (it means ‘of the sea’)…little octopus spread all over pizza! Gross! Safe travels you two can’t wait to see what’s next for ya’ll. – Matt
