Because of recent events in Turkey we chose not to get on our flight to Istanbul. Instead we spent the day rearranging our schedule and traveling to Athens. We are looking forward to seeing Athens in daylight tomorrow. We will continue to monitor events in Turkey since we still hope to sail the islands in the Aegean sea (between Greece and Turkey).

Had another entertaining day of exploring London but we couldn’t get any of the guards to break their straight face.

We arrived in London this morning to blue skies and sunshine. Took advantage of the weather and walked around town. Without a doubt we saw some amazing things and especially enjoyed the markets.

Spent the morning saying goodbye to family and trekking through the waterways of Central Florida on an airboat. Returned our rental car knowing we may not drive again until Christmas. About ready to board a 747 to cross the Atlantic.

World travel trip starts today! Our first stop is the very exotic place of….Florida! We attended an elementary school concert with our nieces where we sang and danced a disco version of ABCs and counted to 100 cowboy style.

So how do you pack for an 81 day trip? We packed as light as we could and ended up with two bags that weigh a combined 46 pounds.
