Yesterday the rain cleared up and left us with a great view of Mt Etna (from Taormina). We were able to walk the streets and visit the Amplitheater before moving closer to Mt Etna.
Today we hiked to the top of Mt Etna which is Europe’s largest active volcano. Walking through the barren lava and ash fields made us think of what the moon must be like.
Miles walked yesterday and today: 18.3

Thanks ELizabeth! BTW who won Halloween costume contest at Con-way?
Awesome pics! They look exactly like my climb up mt Fuji. You’re missing nothing here. It’s getting cold, and we need to finish raking and planting bulbs. Keep enjoying!!
Hey Jenn – someone else said the same about Fiji – I think they look like the moon.
Did Etna remind you of Haliakala? It looks like Fuji to me.
Clark – someone else made the Fuji reference as well. Very bizarre looking places!
